Sania opts out from Bangalore Open

Tired of being dragged into controversy for past few months, Sania Mirza has decided not to play in next month’s Bangalore Open and has told (again!) the controversies that have been dogging her for quite some time for the pullout.

I guess she should learn and take an example of Sachin Tendulkar, how to stay away from bad press and controversial matters. Bad press and popularity always goes together in Hollywood, bollywood and in sports. She should not quit playing just because of media is taking some controversial stuff about her. However, at the end of the day, she is the best judge for herself. Good luck to her!

“I am not playing in Bangalore Open. I have been advised by my manager not to play (there) because a lot has been happening in the past few months,” Sania told reporters in Hyderabad on Monday.

“Everytime I have played in India there has been some kind of problem. So we just thought it was better not to play this time,” she added.
